Text Production 5N1422

I was wondering if there is anyone here delivering Text Production. With most FETAC modules, if a student falls down in one area, they may pick up marks elsewhere within the same module, in order to Pass etc.

In Text Production students must attain a minimum of 35wpm and an accuracy level of 97%. I understand that this is a very important aspect of the module and I would like to know if a student falls short of 35wpm, but does very well elsewhere, do they still fail the module?

Thanks

MM

From what I understand students don't have to pass the speed and accuracy test part of the module. It just means the different between a Distinction and a Merit or Pass.

I have had students in the pass who have failed the speed and accuracy part and yet passed the module. Hope this helps!
